Midnight Express was formed in 2009 when four likeminded, seasoned musicians came together to create a unique Pittsburgh Blues sound. A fusion of styles ranging from East Coast Jazz, Funk to Chicago Blues makes up their unique sound. Midnight Express' members include: George Kalantzis, (guitar, vocals) originally from Chicago, immersed himself in the Pittsburgh music scene in 2001. His multiple influences reflect the many colors and textures that the Blues has to offer. John DeCola (keyboards), a veteran of the Pittsburgh music scene, started playing professionally at age 13. John's playing reflects his years of ardent, dedicated playing and he brings a fire to Midnight Express. Jim Spears (bass) grew up with music always on the radio or "hi-fi." It was a snooping 16-year old Jimmie that found an abandoned Silvertone acoustic guitar in a closet. That discovery lit a spark that led Jim into a life-long love of making music. Mark Chemini (Drums) has been playing drums for over 35 years and is a self taught musician. Show time: 3pm-5pm on the Main St. stage.
Michael Christopher Band
From the moment you first listen to a Michael Christopher song you'll find yourself tapping your toes and singing the songs in your head for days to come. Michael's invocative storytelling and transfixing voice seem to paint a picture with lyrics and music. He's fresh on the scene and brings a distinctive edge of showmanship and swagger to the country genre. In 2008 Michael put together some highly experienced musicians in the Pittsburgh area to form his band. They quickly two-stepped their way onto the country music scene. The band became a favorite at popular festivals, fairs, celebrations and other events and venues while opening for several national acts including Jamey Johnson, Phil Vassar, Colt Ford and Steve Holy. Show time: Noon to 2pm on the Main St. Stage.

As television host on the award winning, “Cappelli & Co.” and critically acclaimed national children’s recording artist on the A&M label, Frank Cappelli is fast finding a place in the hearts of the young and the young at heart. Show time 2pm on Main St. stage.
